Colin Tenwick appointed Non-Executive Chairman
Seasoned technology leader Colin Tenwick has been appointed as non-executive chairman of Oxford International Education Group’s (Oxford International) board of directors. Colin’s extensive experience as an executive and non-executive director of many globally recognised technology brands will further build the strength of Oxford International’s board as the edtech continues its growth journey.
Tenwick has a rich history in the digital transformation and leadership space, currently serving as non-executive chairman of eCommerce platform Wowcher. He has steered successful tech company listings on both the London Stock Exchange and the NYSE, delivering growth across a range of disruptive digital offerings both in the UK and internationally.
“Joining Oxford International at this pivotal stage in its expansionist roadmap represents an opportunity to further enhance and develop the digital role of the company and continue to provide outstanding educational experiences to our customers and partners worldwide,” explained Tenwick.
“The roadmap and ambitions of Oxford International to be a leading innovator in digital education provision, as it has been an in-classroom and distance learning innovator since its formation, mean that it is an exciting time to join the board.”
“With his extensive experience of driving digital growth and disruption in mature markets, it’s with great pleasure that we welcome Colin as non-executive chairman to Oxford International,” comments Lil Bremermann-Richard, Group CEO of Oxford International Education Group.
“His vision and leadership will further enable our strategy to deliver outstanding educational opportunities to a customer base who are currently being underserved. We very much look forward to this next stage in our journey as a global educational provider.”
Oxford International enters its thirtieth year as an education provider, with partnerships and provision in place across the UK, the rest of Europe, and Asia through its innovative blended offering. The first on-campus embedded North American partnership with San Francisco State University has been recently announced, whilst the innovative learning provider has seen a marked increase in interest for its disruptive digital learning delivery platform, the OI Digital Institute Division.
Bremermann-Richard concludes: “Oxford International’s digital offering is rapidly growing, with the brand trailblazing educational innovation and agile delivery. Colin’s appointment is an important milestone on our growth journey. With his support, we will continue to develop our platform alongside flourishing international relationships, and really showcase our unique solution coming from the very heart of the UK’s knowledge economy.”
