National lockdown announcement: Oxford International Education Group response
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, announced that England will enter into a four-week lockdown from this Thursday, 5th November. Unlike in March, schools, colleges and universities will remain open throughout this predicted month-long lockdown. Thankfully, this means that most of our business will continue as normal.
Rules in Scotland and Wales differ to those in England, with Wales currently in a fortnight-long firebreak lockdown until Monday 9th November and Scotland moving into a five-tier system.
Oxford International will continue to offer face-to-face lessons according to national restrictions with the necessary safety measures in place, as well as an extensive online course offering.
Since March, we have adapted to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions which enable us to continue providing high-quality education to thousands of UK and International students. The world is facing uncertainty, but we are committed to our goals as an organisation and will continue to offer students, parents and partners support and clarity.
We will monitor the situation and should anything need to change in the way we currently deliver our offering, we will adapt and share this with you.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Kindest regards,
Lil Bremermann-Richard
Group Chief Executive Officer
